Ryan would appreciate any mail or email. To make things a bit easier, I’ve included some information about how to contact Ryan below.

JPay

The Florida D.O.C. uses a system called JPay for inmate communications. You can set up an account for online use or download their app to your phone. It’s a pretty simple system that allows you to send/receive email, pictures and even send a 30-sec video message. Go to www.jpay.com from your computer or download the app (APPLE or GOOGLE PLAY) to your phone. Set up an account. Ryan’s ID # is R44393 (You may or may not need to include the “R”).

To send email, you must purchase “stamps”. They start at $4.40/11 stamps. It costs 1 stamp to send an email and 1 stamp if you want him to reply. Attaching pictures costs another stamp and recording a video is 3 stamps. In all, it’s cheaper than sending a physical letter and he’ll get it a lot quicker.

From the website, you can also schedule 15-minute video visits with Ryan. It’s like Zoom or Facetime and the visits cost $2.95. You can’t set up video visits from the app, only the website.

The Florida DOC recently decided to end tangible mail for inmates. This means when you send a letter or card, the DOC mail center will scan everything and send it via an email to Ryan. I, along with many others, complained to the DOC about this new practice to no avail.

Packaging - All correspondence addressed to inmates must be sent by U.S. Postal Service mail. Correspondence sent by other courier or delivery services will be refused. No FEDEX, UPS, Priority Mail or other special service.

Telephone

If you want to have Ryan call, you need to set up an account at www.connectnetwork.com or they have an app you can download for your phone. You just create an account and add money, then he can call you. The facility information is the same as above. I’m not entirely sure, but I think the cost is about $0.20 / minute. I usually put $20 on at a time and it seems to last forever. We talk every day.
